Our history begins in 1998, when Robert Worthington made the decision to take a change in direction with his career and to leave the Prestige Vehicle After Sales sector, where he had worked since leaving school and to move into Regulated Financial Services. His objective at this stage, was to transfer the excellent customer service skills that he had developed in his career to date into a completely new role and to use these standards as the benchmark in building his new career. Twenty years on and with twenty years of experience of working in all areas of Regulated Financial Services, Robert still stands by the core customer service values that he was taught at the start of his career and the phrase “the customer is always right” is always at the front of his mind.
In October 2014 and as a result of increasing frustration with the corporate sector where he has spent most of his career to date, Robert established Marquis Wealth Ltd with the aim of providing a professional, customer focused, financial planning service in the comfort of a client’s own home. The company initially, was based in Bollington in Cheshire and was linked to its sister company Marquis Financial Services Ltd, but due to a change in direction by the Directors of the business in October 2017, is now based in Marple next to the Peak Forest Canal and although the business is now no longer directly linked to Marquis Financial Services Ltd, the two firms Directors, still remain good friends and still have clients, which remain clients of both business’s.
